大日本絵画「マリアナ沖海戦」
昭和１９年６月１９日、「あ号作戦」の６０１空、第一次攻撃隊に参加した「大鳳」の岡嶋清熊大尉（海兵６７期）機を模して見ました。
機体の番号は当初「６０１」で始まる番号だったようですが、実際の作戦時は所属航空戦隊の番号と、空母の番号をそれより小さな字で表記していたそうです。
この「大鳳」機の場合、第１航空戦隊・序列１番であるため大小の１、という組み合わせになります。
This aircraft belongs to captain Kiyokuma Okajima, on CV Taiho,s unit, who joined on battle of Mariana, june 1944.
The large 1 on tailnumber seems to have meaning of "1st flying fleet unit", and small 1 has meaning of "Taiho,s unit".
They had tailcodes started with "601" before the battle, but that is being repaited before the operation.
＜模型＞
キットはタミヤ製のもので、リベットと接合ラインのモールドは、インジェクションの関係でモールドされない箇所を追加しています。
エンジンはキットのものに本物の銅線でプラグコードを追加。
コックピット内は学研の本を参考に塗装。
ピトー管はキット付属の金属製。
空中線は鋼線で作成。
塗装は基本濃緑色ですが、布張りの箇所だけ若干つや消しと白を混ぜて質感の違いを出しています。
パイロットはキット付属のものを使用しています。
キャノピーは開閉両方楽しめるようにあえて接着していません。
機体下部は、若干のオイル漏れを表現しています。
I referred to a book published from Gakken.
This model is based on Tamiya,s kit.
equipments are painted in original color,reffering pictures.
targetting device is made of photo-etched parts from FINEMOLD.
Piton-tube is made of brass line and pipe.
Break-pipes made of brass line are add on landing gear.
I carve panel lines with knife.
Shadow is painted by pastel, using only brush.
Cockpit cover is removable too.
type98 targetting deevice is remodeled by FINEMOLS,s photo-etched parts.
