実は錨甲板まで当初作る予定でしたが、ほぼ見えないことが判ったのでやめてあります。
＜飛行甲板＞

本作で一番悩んだのが飛行甲板でした。
本艦は装甲甲板を持っており、当然強度甲板なので継ぎ目のないもので、かつ写真と乗員さんの証言から 甲板の色は「若干赤みがかった濃いグレー」であることはほぼ間違いないものの、表層をどのように覆っていた のかは・・・はっきりしませんでした。
空母「天城」「大鷹型」などはほぼつらいちのラテックス甲板で濃いグレーの飛行甲板を有していまし たが、これと同様のものを当初想定していました。
しかし、途中で艦の断面図から甲板には最表層に材木らしき書き込みがあり、これで悩みました。
最初は材木はあくまで断熱材（南方ではこれがないと熱がこもって大変なことになるのは現代でも同じ） として用いられており、最表層はラテックスカバーかと思ったのですが・・ラテックス張りはそれでは無理と知って、 結局「材木を張った甲板をグレーで塗装」におちつきました。
その後、大日本絵画「マリアナ沖海戦」の２２６Pに「大鳳」の飛行甲板上で撮影された写真が掲載され、「大鳳」 の飛行甲板の最表層は材木だったことが確認されました。
模型的には材木の継ぎ目をけがいて入れて、飛行機係留用の穴を０．５ｍｍドリルであけて甲板を表現。
艦首付近にはカタパルトを置く予定だった書き込みが図面にあるので、そのように表現。
ただ、図面には高角砲の射界を広げる為の起倒式のきりかき（瑞鳳等にみられるものと同様？）があり、 文書でも航空側と砲側でだいぶこのきりかきでもめた、との記録があるものの実際にこれが施工されたのか どうかはわかりません。
甲板上に６本書かれた白線は最初航空機のスタート位置かと思ったのですが、それにしては位置がおかしい ので、どうやらレイテ沖・天一号作戦時の「大和」同様、甲板上にフレームの位置を描いておいて、被弾時にわかり やすくしていたもののようです。
高角砲付近には翔鶴型にみられるような赤白の警告ラインをいれてありますが、これはあくまで想像です。
艦首の白い部分は艦首波を偽装したものとも、艦首方向からの着艦を想定したものともいわれていますが 正確には不明です。
デッキライトはプラ板・棒製です。
Before constructing, it took time decide how to look like.
From the witness view and photograph, TAIHOs deck color during battle of Mariana was " bit red, dark glay", that was sure, but problem was surface of deck.
From remaining blueprint, Taiho,s decks surface had used wood, but I did not think that would be on surface, because wood is burnable material and IJN was nervous against fire after battle of Miday.
For example, aircrats like TAIYO or AMAGI,s surface is being covered with latex, not wood.
so, I first imagine deck like layer of latex and wood, but that was denied by the structure of the deck.
Therefor, I changed my mind and made wood deck. that was very lucky.
After finished making, "Battle of Mariana" had been published, and in that book, picture taken at TAIHO,s deck was found, and there were wood on deck.It became solid proof of wood deck.
The white lines which runs transversally seems to show where the partitions below the deck are, in order to know damage area quickly from the bridge during battle.
Deck lights are made of plastic plate.
A notch is descibed around the AA guns like that of ZUIHO, and document remains about dispute between AAgun team and aircraft team at the time of the plan, but because it is not confirmed, it does not reappeared on my model.
But I made setting position of the catapult, because it was drawn on the blueprint.
I also add red and white warnig line on deck nearby AA guns, but this is only my guess.

ピットロード製のアンカーに換装。
係船に必要なボラード・ビット・フェアリーダーがあるはずの錨甲板の見える穴は６箇所としました（ヘッド、 ブレストラインを張るため４箇所は必須）。
錨甲板は貫通しているようなので、模型も同様に向こう側が見えるよう貫通させてあります。
艦首のボラードから救命ボートにたれさがっている索は０．２ｍｍ真鍮線製。
艦首の菊の御紋はエッチング製を使用。
ボラードは０．４ｍｍプラ棒で表現。
水平見張り台は穴を開けて場所を設けた上、ジョーワールド製の双眼鏡を置いてみました。
ボートはマスキングテープを細切りにしたものでグライプバンドを表現しています。
水線下のバルバスバウ下部にはソナーの穴をそれらしくあけています。
艦首のパラペーン展開用金具は０．３ｍｍドリルで穴を開けてそれらしくしてあります。
Anchor is replaced to parts from PITROAD.
In order to make fast mooring, I made 3 mooring place on anchor deck(2 is being confirmed by picture).
Mooring bits are made of plastic lod.
Empelors emblem is made of photo-etched parts.
The horizontal watch level is decolated with binoculars from JOEWORLD.
SONAR holes are being add on bow.
＜側面・水線下＞
艦側面はけがいて鉄板の接合を表現。
スクリューはプラ棒と板で自作。

艦橋形状はほぼキットのまま。一般配置図と雲龍型などに基づいて艦橋トップを製作。遮風装置などを 金属板で作成。
マントレットは「赤城」についてきた金属製、双眼鏡はジョーワールドのエッチング製、探照灯は ファインモールドの透明部品製です。
ループアンテナは０．２ｍｍ真鍮線で自作。
２，３ｋｍ信号灯は透明伸ばしランナーで造りました。
特徴的な煙突の周りは、「隼鷹」型を参考にしました。
アクセントとなる浮き輪は２ｍｍプラ棒から作りました。
Bridge structure is not being changed so much from original kit.detail is being add refering blueprint and CVs of the same age like Unryu class.
detail around chemney reffered that of Junyo.
＜マスト＞
マストは真鍮製。戦闘旗、軍艦旗、信号旗、速力標を掲揚。写真から 一三号電探を装備していることがわかるので、ジョーワールド製のものをとりつけました。
Main structure is made of brass line.
13-gou rader antenna is capable to confirm from picture, so I made it by parts from JOEWORLD.
＜機銃・高角砲＞

本作のおそらく最大の特徴で、学研の「真実の艦艇史」「日本の空母パーフェクトガイド」で紹介され ました、バダビアでオーストラリア軍に撮影された長１０ｃｍ砲（九八式１０ｃｍ連装高角砲）の写真を参考に クラッチビルドしました。
この砲は陸上設置タイプとしてそれなりの数が生産されたもののようです。
余談ですが、戦後台湾で「雪風」に同砲が搭載されていますが、これは賠償として委譲された「宵月」の ものではなく、陸上設置砲を載せたものだったそうなので、元はこれと同じものだったのかもしれません。
高角砲の砲身は真鍮製。
写真からも確認できる防盾付２５ｍｍ３連装機銃はピットロードのエッチング、九五式射撃指揮装置はジョーワールド製です。
時期的に単装機銃はなし。艦橋に１丁だけ１３ｍｍを配置しました。
機銃スポンソンは真鍮板で新造。継ぎ目を０．２ｍｍ真鍮線でいれています。
The most identicle equipment of TAIHO must be its type98 10cm AA guns.
I reffered its detail from picture taken after war at Badavia by Australian force,(Picture from books from GAKKEN) and picture on guns original manual.
Gun barrel is made of brass.
25mm triple MGs with shield(capable to confirm) are pats from FINEMOLD.
No single 25mm guns are add, considering the time of its end.

艦尾形状は一般配置図を元に製作。なぜかキットでは右舷側に切りかきがありますが、ちゃんとドアのひんじ が書き込まれているのでこれは透視図の解釈の間違いのようです。
航空機搬入・内火艇展開用のクレーンレールはファインモールドの穴あき真鍮板製。
On original kit, one part of wall on starboad is missing, so I add wall.
Crane rails for boats are made of brass plate with holes.

「日本空母戦史」等によると、本艦の唯一の実戦参加となったあ号作戦・ 昭和１９年６月１９日、午前７時４５分発進の 第一波攻撃隊（第６０１航空隊）の編成は
零戦１６機（チップタンク装備）
彗星１７機（爆弾内装、右翼下部にチップタンク）
天山９機（雷装）
だったようで、「彗星」のチップタンクはプラ棒で自作しました。
艦載機のシャフト・空中線支柱は真鍮線、カバーや魚雷はファインモールド製エッチングを使用。
The formation of TAIHO,s team on 07:45 19th june 1944 was such:
16 of A6M5c (whith chip tank)
17 of D4Y1-C(wth chip tank ONLY ON RIGHT WING, and 500kg bomb)
9 of B6N2 (with topedo)
I add equipments just like real planes did.
